Feb 2026 , Day 4- Biblical Love vs. Cultural Love

❤️ Week 1 · Day 4Love Is Given, Not Earned

Scripture: Romans 5:8 (NKJV)“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Cultural love is often conditional. It is given when someone meets expectations, agrees with us, or makes us feel valued. When those conditions change, love is often withdrawn. Biblical love is different. God did not wait for us to become worthy before He loved us—He loved us while we were still sinners.

The cross reminds us that love is not a reward for good behavior; it is a gift of grace. God’s love moved first. It reached us in our brokenness, rebellion, and need. That same kind of love is what Christ calls His followers to reflect.

When we love only those who earn it, we are loving like the world. When we love with grace, patience, and mercy—even when it is undeserved—we are loving like Christ.

Reflection:Who have I struggled to love because I feel they don’t deserve it?

Prayer:“Father, thank You for loving me when I did not deserve it. Help me extend that same grace and mercy to others.”
