Day 12 of 31 — John 12
Scripture (John 12:32, NKJV)
“And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”
John 12 points our hearts to the center of the Gospel: Jesus will be lifted up—and when He is, He will draw people to Himself. He wasn’t talking about being lifted up in popularity or applause. He was pointing to the cross… to sacrifice… to the moment love would be displayed in its fullest form.
This is freeing for us. Because it means the weight of “saving” people isn’t on our shoulders. Our calling is simpler (and holier): lift Jesus up—in our words, our choices, our kindness, our integrity, our faithfulness when nobody is watching.
When Jesus is elevated, hearts are stirred. When Jesus is honored, truth gets clearer. When Jesus is lifted up, people who never thought they’d come close… start moving toward Him.
Today, don’t strive to be impressive. Don’t strive to be noticed. Strive to make Jesus visible. He’s the One who draws. He’s the One who changes. He’s the One who saves.
Practical application
Lift Him up in a sentence: Share a simple word about what God has done for you.
Lift Him up in an action: Choose one intentional act of love today.
Lift Him up in prayer: Pray by name for one person to be drawn to Jesus.
Prayer
Jesus, be lifted high in my life today. Help my words and actions point people to You—not to me. Give me courage to honor You openly and humility to serve quietly. Draw hearts to Yourself, and let my life be a clear witness of Your love. Amen.
