Day 22 of 31 — Gospel of John Reflection
Scripture (John 20:31, NKJV)
“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.”
John tells you exactly why he wrote this Gospel: so you would believe—and so that belief would lead to life.
That’s the heart of discipleship: not just learning facts about Jesus, but trusting Him as the Christ and the Son of God. John has shown us His glory, His compassion, His authority, His sacrifice, and His resurrection—so that our faith would move from curiosity to conviction.
And the promise is clear: life in His name.
Not borrowed life. Not temporary motivation. Real life—forgiven, renewed, anchored, and eternal.
So today, take inventory:
Are you simply familiar with Jesus… or truly following Him?
Have you believed with your mind only… or surrendered your life?
If you’ve wandered, come back. If you’ve believed but grown cold, rekindle. If you’ve never fully trusted Him—today is a perfect day to say: “Jesus, I believe. Give me life in Your name.”
Practical application
Read John 20:31 slowly 3 times.
Pray one sentence: “Lord, strengthen my belief and deepen my surrender.”
Share one “John testimony” this week: something you’ve learned about Jesus in this series.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your Word that calls me to faith. I believe You are the Christ, the Son of God. Give me fresh life in Your name—life that changes my heart, my priorities, and my obedience. Help me follow You fully. Amen.
